The headmaster of the Tweneboah Koduah Senior High School in the
Ashanti Region, has been interdicted following allegations of sexual
misconduct.
Rev. Francis Badu Agyare is alleged to be having sexual affairs
with female students of the school.
The Education Directorate in the Kumawu District in a letter dated
April 12, 2018, asked the headmaster to step down as it institutes
investigations into the allegations against him.
Rev Agyare’s interdiction came after some teachers petitioned the
Kumawu Traditional Council about his conduct.
The teachers had earlier threatened a sit-down strike if immediate
actions were not taken against the headmaster.
District Chief Executive of the area, Samuel Osei Agyekum, told
Joy News’ Matilda Wemegah that Rev Agyare has also been accused of abuse of
power.
“There was also an allegation that he has no respect for the
teachers,” Mr Agyekum said.
He said some of the girls who were allegedly involved with the
headmaster, have been questioned and a report will be released on the findings.
