A senior high school
graduate at the OLA Girls SHS at Kenyasi in the Asutifi North District of
Brong-Ahafo Region alleged lesbianism has gained roots in the school and needed
government and divine intervention to stamp it out.
Sharing her three-year experience at
the school at a night vigil to usher in 2014 at the Abesim Central District
Church of Deeper Life Bible Ministry on Tuesday, the young lady alleged that it
had become a norm that some of the seniors in the school forced the form one
girls to be their lesbian partners.
She spoke on condition of anonymity to
praise God for sailing her through her academic pursuit; alleged girls who
failed to give in to such devilish acts would go through all forms of sexual
harassment from their senior colleagues at night.
She said the act by the students had
been reported to the school authorities but no radical approach had been taken
to curb it.
The situation, she said continued to
affect the academic performance of some of the students, especially those who
failed to practise the act, as the senior would continue to pester them.
Pastor Paul Adu-Agyei, Abesim District
Pastor of the Church expressed worry about such alleged immoral practice and
called for urgent steps to reverse it.
He said continuous and fervent prayer
was the key to open up opportunities in life and asked Christians to do so.
Pastor Adu-Agyei said 2014 had better
opportunities to those who rely and put their trust in God exhorting that with
hard work, prayer and diligence, Christians would be able to face all the
challenges of life.
